Context: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has officially launched the revamped MCA21 portal, India’s flagship e-Governance platform for the corporate sector. The updated version is designed to automate and simplify legal, compliance, and enforcement procedures for companies.
What is MCA21?
MCA21 is India’s first Mission Mode e-Governance project, launched in 2006 under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP).
It allows for electronic filing of documents, public access to records, and interaction with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
Now upgraded with AI/ML capabilities, data analytics, and improved UI under Version 3.0.
