1. Digital Infrastructure

  • BharatNet: Connected over 2.2 lakh Gram Panchayats with optical fiber.
  • Aadhaar: Over 1.3 billion people enrolled—foundational for e-KYC, subsidies, and governance.

2. E-Governance & Public Services

  • UMANG, DigiLocker, and e-Hospital platforms have expanded citizen access.
  • Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) worth ₹34 lakh crore transferred through digital modes, saving leakages.

3. Digital Payments

  • UPI (Unified Payments Interface): Over 11 billion transactions per month (2025).
  • Aadhaar-enabled Payment Systems (AePS): Widely used by rural poor.

4. Digital Literacy & Inclusion

  • PMGDISHA trained over 6 crore citizens in digital literacy.
  • Digital India Bhashini Mission promotes local language access to digital services.

5. Startup & Tech Ecosystem

  • Over 1 lakh tech startups supported by initiatives like MeitY Start-up Hub, STPI, and Digital India GENESIS.
